Many small picturesque corners and passages exist in the old town of Charleston. The area is rich in history and proud of its long heritage. Off Queen Street is Philadelphia Alley, located beside the Footlight Players Theater, one of the oldest theaters in the city. This passage is closed to all but pedestrian traffic and paved with brick and stone. Quiet and cool even on the hottest days, this shaded walk offers a beautiful interlude for a few minutes walk or a few hours' reading.
