Chasing the Chameleon

Art: Chasing the Chameleon by Artist Robin Cruz McGee
"This is my entry in the Nibblefest Art Contest, a themed art contest beginning on the 20th of each month. Please be sure to search for NFAC to see more great entries, each starting at just 99¢. Thanks!" This month's theme is Reptiles.

This is an ACEO done on copper sheet using a method called Chasing. Chasing is the use of small chisles and punches to inscribe lines on the surface of the metal. The texture and shading are gained through the use of various shapes of punches.

This jonty chameleon Is sitting on his regular perch waiting for dinner to fly by... or crawl by, I don't think he is that picky about what he eats. Though this chameleon is kind of short in the color department, He does display a variety of textures trying to blend in. All he needs now is a home in your collection.

Thanks for looking!
