I think the Emerald Coast has some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The sun shining over the ocean at dusk gives the most brilliant reflections of color on the sand and grasses. The ocean can appear to be almost on fire. This painting was inspired by our recent vacation to Panama City Beach.

The main colors in this palette are unbleached titanium white, red oxide, raw sienna, brilliant yellow and burnt umber.
