I created this fibre and clay sculpture a few years ago during October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The head is sculpted from polymer clay and then painted with acrylic paint. The body is fabric and I stitched a rough scar on her chest to show her wound. I added a twig across the top of the body as arms. Shells makeup a neck collar and also are at her ears.
She is meant to be hung on the wall and has a very strong waxed linen hanger at the back.
This an original and very meaningful work of art. It depicts the strength that women have in coping with the disease.
Comes with certificate of authenticity from EBSQart.
