Art: Pears and Pairs and Pears by Artist Nancy Denommee

This large work is a combination of painting and collage. I used gel molding paste, gesso and layers of paper and paint to create a very thickly textured background. I painted the large central pear. The top pears in black are rubber stamped. I added images of old masters paintings and silk leaves for a three-dimensional look. Sides of wrapped canvas have been painted making a frame unecessary. Ready to hang.
