A new series of New York City paintings. I call this series "New York Primary". This has a lot of different meanings, elections being one. For these paintings it means that I have used a primary color for the background, in this case it's yellow. I then painted a "primary" landmark that epitomizes New York City; the Statue of Liberty. Line drawings in pen and ink of other primary items; Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State, brownstones and others. I've always loved a play on words and phrases.
