IN LOUISIANA

Protected watershed areas abound in Louisiana. The bald cypress trees, full of spanish moss swaying from each branch, line up along the edges of the bayous. The sunsets are a beautiful sight, twinkling glimmers of sunlight through the veils of hanging moss. I tried to capture the beauty and the uniqueness of this area near my home in Louisiana. Spanish moss is protected here now by law after so many years of admirers gathering it to take home while visiting our state. It was starting to disappear from the landscape, but is now thriving. Full of redbugs, gathering the moss must have come complete with its surprise visitors !! ~ Enjoy ~
