My name is Louise Mead & I am an artist based in Reading, in the UK.  My favourite medium is paint although I do enjoy drawing from time to time.  I paint abstract, whimsical, and folk art and get much of my inspiration from nature.  Most recently my work has focussed on trees, birds, and flowers.  This has a lot to do with time spent in my garden listening to the birds that sing in the trees.  I feel very lucky to be woken up most mornings in spring & summer by beautiful birdsong and this is reflected in a lot of my work.
