A timeless painting capturing the beauty of early morning mist surrounding the foliage. The rising sun gives great hope of a gorgeous summer day and the crisp air is filled with the scent of roses. Take a stroll down the quiet country lane and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.
My love and appreciation for nature's beauty comes from my childhood. My family lived in an old farm house that was at the end of a narrow dusty road. In the summertime, my brothers and sisters and I would rise very early in order to get in as much playing as we could before the sun went down. We played in the fields, climbed the trees in the orchard, and made little mud houses that had bits of broken glass for its windows. The morning air was cool, the grass wet from the dew and the birds singing in the trees were the first sounds of the new day. Those are the memories that I called upon for this painting. To this day... a foggy morning will tug at my heart... beckoning me to come out and play.
This is a 9x14 acrylic painting on canvas that I painted on Christmas Day 2009.
