This piece was specially painted for the Think Pink show.
She was designed with loving care and thought for the plight of those effected by Breast Cancer. She is painted entirely of different shades of pink (with the exception of the sides of the painting that are black). I gave her a slightly tilted head, and a daisy in her hair for a look of innocence - like all those afflicted. I also crossed two petals of the daisy to symbolize the crossing of our fingers (as a nation and as humans worldwide) for a cure. Her arms are in a v shape to signify the impending victory we will have over this illness.
All proceeds from the sale of this painting were donated to The Susan G. Komen Foundation. Additionally 100% of every ACEO sized print sold of this painting will be donated, and 20% of EVERY print of this painting sold on Imagekind* will be donated also. (*20% on imagekind does not include framing - print only)
This is only the first Pink Lady to be painted for raising money for Breast Cancer. There will be more to follow, as I'm planning this to be an annual commitment (or bi-annual)
