This painting is acrylic on canvas. The horse starts out with a fairly realistic pencil drawinf which is simpified and then transfered to canvas. This particular painting has a metalic blue undercoat shining thru the black paint. The background is a mix of red orange and yellow and this yellow mane has gold and copper paint details. While working on this painting I could not get the song "Wildfire" out of my head. The song is about the ghost of a girl who run out into a storm, not a fire to find her pony named Wildfire. So my depiction shows Wildfire's silhoutte in front of a Firestorm.
