This is a photo of a honeybee on a mustard blossom. I was so busy concentrating on the bee that I neglected to notice the other two insects on the flower. The bug in the center is a cinch bug. Stalking the cinch bug, is a ladybug larva, the pretty colored long, worm-like bug on the right side of the photo. It's my guess that the ladybug larva is planning on making a meal out of the cinch bug. Ladybug larva have voracious appetites for other bugs and are a welcome sight in the garden.
This photo was shot using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, f/9, exposure time 1/500 sec, IOS-320, 300mm.
