The Vamp dances with the Horned God, both to honor his crowning, and to betray his demise. She is the Lover who dares dance (and sleep) with the villain, partly for the thrill of taming his brute nature, but ultimately to dis-arm his weapon. This modern dancing vixen is ancestress to many a famous Vamp, whose stories reveal heroic courage, but whose names have been defiled in the historical records of patriarchy.
