These days I use a variety of media in my artwork, but for the most part I create works that are somewhere between mosaic and collage. Small squares of glossy, high-color paper that would otherwise end up in my recycle bin are applied to masonite or canvas with decoupage medium and varnished to seal the finished product. In a way, I use colored paper like a painter uses paint.
My artworks have found their way into private collections all over the country, as well as the Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Primarily, however, my artwork now occupies a permanent space in my store and gallery called Fashioned By Jaye in Springfield, Missouri.
