I am a self-taught artist who loves the
fluidity, movement and illusion of depth that can be created in abstract
painting. I choose to paint in
abstraction because I love the freedom of expression that it affords me as an
artist. The allure of abstract art is
that the viewer gets the privilege to see, feel, and interpret whatever they
want. My free-form, non-subjective artworks are somewhat organic in
nature and are achieved through the use of multiple layers of varying
translucence, utilizing metallic pigments, translucent colours and micaceous
mineral pigments. Because
of the unusual nature of my process, every painting is a unique creation unto
itself.
