This common grey treefrog is on a cherry tree trunk stacked with toadstools. I photographed the tree at a local metropark because I found it fascinating & knew someday it would make a great setting for a piece of art. The frog is a species native to eastern North America, but infrequently seen because it doesn't inhabit water where people expect to see frogs.
