Prairie Falcons live in the open areas in the center of North America year round. This bird in this work is done in pen & at least 8 different colors of ink, each feather drawn separately. There is a lot of detail in this work, which doesn't show up in a photograph. It took about 3 months to complete. This is one of the few paintings I've done that contains a man made object, the fence post.
