These are Least Sandpipers  on a North American beach, searching for food near a sand castle left behind by a recreational human. I've had this idea for years and was happy to finally get it out of my head and onto paper. My sister thought I should have the castle partially fallen down, but that struck me as potentially depressing, so I left it the way I'd envisioned it.
