Te duck-billed platypus has always appealed to me ever since learning about them when I was 7 years old, so I was glad to finally do a proper painting of one.I learned a lot while researching this picture, including the fact that they are not much bigger than a guinea pig. They live in freshwater lakes and rivers in Australia and are an endangered species. Done in acrylic on a canvas panel.
