She seems to be dreaming warm weather and bright flowers. Actually, I spent this weekend with 2 ft of snow, frozen pipes and a broken furnace. This could have inspired this painting, but I really was not unhappy with my situation. I felt like a pioneer....discovering how to do without creature comforts that are taken for granted. However, the dream all of us dream is to be in another place instead of being just where we be.
