This painting started out as a street scene (for about 5 minutes). I just did not feel like painting a street scene that day!! (Cityscapes are my speciality, so to speak.) I just started creating shapes, letting one area carry me into another. It was all very unconscious! I like to blend colors to create new shades I have never used before. As the painting progressed, the title "OVERLOAD" came to me, and I added the transferred newspaper text to add to my theme of "too much information."
