A macro of pine bark from a tree in my back yard, with minimal enhancement to punch up the detail and contrast. Composed with macro setting about six inches from target in order to include surrounding texture. The warm tones of the 'under bark', where pieces of the outer bark have fallen off create a nice contrast.

It appears that Nature, Herself, has rendered another abstract image within this one reminiscent of an Oriental character or a stick figure running, visible in the center. I wonder what She is trying to tell us...
