Art: Lily by Artist Deanne Flouton

According to an internet search about 280 genera and 4000 species belong to the family of Liliaceae.  They include agapanthus, allium, tulips, aloe, chive, spider plant, muscari, hyacinth, lily of the valley, hosta, crocus, even the asparagus; so, based on findings, this show is open to many possibilities.

This pink lily, Japonicum, is abstracted from a photo, digitally enhanced and superimposed on a digitally painted background. It was planted years ago in a deck box and each year reaches almost 4 feet in height with several blooms.  The soft pink color is very attractive, and works well here against a pastoral background.
