Chris Thames Bio
Chris Thames was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Paschal High School and then graduated from Subiaco Academy in Arkansas. He attended TCJC for a couple of years and after that joined the Marines. After the marines and school, he settled down as a graphic artist specializing in presentations for about ten years. He worked in black and white and yearned to work in color.
So, about seven years ago he picked up a paint brush and has been hooked ever since. His paintings have been selected for the Firehouse Gallery in Fort Worth, his paintins were chosen for the Alzheimer Art Walk in Dallas, and his paintings can be seen in homes all across the DFW area.
He lives with his wife Nikki Nordlof, his stepson Kaley Nordlof, and two cats named Gizmo and Crash.
Chris Thames is a self taught artist. He also serves as the webmaster for CT For Success, a site devoted to art activities of the 20+ artist groups on the world wide web.
Interests inclue acrylic on canvas and mixed media paintings. He does have a preference for painting celebrities. Chris celebrates the stars of movie, sport, and television in his one of kind original paintings.
