The image is from a Victorian book of fairy tales, mounted on archival tiles, cut apart and reassembled, slightly skewed and somewhat distanced. Parts scavenged from an old romance novel add to the somewhat sardonic fairytale wedding fantasy, like the image of the bride and groom, cut apart and reassembled with a different meaning--the words now read "Return to Hold Me Captive." A ring of amber glass is affixed to a green silk ribbon, once a book marker. Hand-lettered calligraphy around the edge reads "The glass wedding might have been a hint, had they stopped to think about it...but then, who does, really?"
