Since spring has arrived my tendency is to create the little creatures that reflect the season. I really wanted to make a black lab puppy even though I know black is a challenging color to work with. It is hard on my eyes and also difficult to photograph. I did the best I could to bring you this little guy and his chick. I first carefully sculpted both in polymer clay, painted the tiny details with acrylic and applied the silk fiber one thin layer at a time trimming with a great deal of care, I made the little chick and his base to be one piece to give it plenty of stability and kept the base an earthy neutral color so it would fit in nicely if you choose to add it to an outdoor scene. He is flocked with some tiny detail feathering on his wins and tail. The puppy's eyes were made in a separate process and cured into the sculpture. When creating the little eyes I've come up with an extra step that I feel adds some translucence giving him a more lifelike appearance. The winning bidder will receive an original digitally signed certificate of authenticity via email, it can be verified through the ebsq site. This little pair would make a great addition to your original dollhouse collection
