Change occurs in cycles, slow progressions or so quickly you sometimes miss it; and sometimes things never seem to change or we resist change.

This painting was completed on a dyed piece of canvas that was a "scrap" from another canvas I dyed.  Many times I save these scraps hoping to come across the right image to integrate with the dyed pattern.  This route sign grows a honeysuckle "crown" every year, which is summarily cut at the base with a weedeater or sprayed with herbicide shortly thereafter... only to grow back the next year all over again.
