Art: Bonsai Magic Money Tree by Artist Alma Lee

My Partner for this years Ripped off contest is Carolyn Schiffhouer. She is an excellent digital artist and her portfolio is a virtual eden of inspiration. It took me a day too whittle it down to two and another day to pick "Bonsai Dream" The last detail image is her original.

I did take a bit of a turn in it's execution however as I almost always do...

Bonsai the Magic Money Tree

Your mom was wrong when she said "money don't grow on trees" it does, but it is a fussy thing.

it all starts with the seed and it take such a large one for such and tiny tree. It must be watered daily with discipline and fed from restraint. Of course it is not a large tree, that is probably why your mother missed it, it is classified with the Bonsai species. It becomes more beautiful with age, and lots of training. The good news is this is a new hybrid strain in that it is self pruning and will snip your fingers should you attempt to harvest prematurely. The trick is to wait until the fruit is full, large and falling under it's own weight. Time from sowing to harvest? Just this side of forever!
