I love the fresh rawness that Vincent Van Gogh brought to his canvases. I have done several paintings in his style but found that I was rather tight of hand while doing them. This has always bothered me bc I am sure he was freer with his brush and palette knives when he attacked his canvas. So I vowed to do a one of his paintings in a hour and a half. It doesn't look like his but I think it is a good representation of hi spirit in me. I have never felt freer. I do think that this is more of an expressionism painting than Van Gogh's impressionism but that really was the point wasn't it?
