Listening for the Cra...

Art: Listening for the Cra... by Artist Alma Lee
Tears have run dry
salt revenes are all that remain
So tired of the song
without refrain

Then Cra Cra the Raven Cried
An perched upon my heart
Tommorow come Tomorrow comes
bringing a light, a new start

It is there I pause
and contemplate...
shall I remain?
Not in my present State

Cra Cra I hear once more
I wait to see...
Perhap an enlightenment
a lighter brighter ME
This  the latest painting in my semicolon series. and it came to me to paint a raven in her arms when I read that even though ravens have gotten a bad rap of bring sadness and woe, Their cry of "Cra" is the word for tomorow in an ancient and dead latin language. Making it's cry one of hope.

Tamara Lempicka painting style inspired me on the particular piece. Her lines clear and angular seem to ring truth to me.and clear direction and decision. Such is where I stand today with many others who suffer with mental illness Yes we could have ended our sentence but we chose to continue, Listening for the Cra.....
