The other day one of my online friends started a Simon Says contest, on the theme of "What are you looking forward to?...."  It really doesn't seem like such a deep and probing question on the surface, until I realized that for the last 2 years I have been quite intro/retrospective and though that state of mind was certainly warranted in the battlefield my life had become, it is no way to live.I may not be ready for my future either but I may just see it coming if I only faced forward.

In the end this ended up being a digital piece, but the process, like life was a bit more labored.  There are several of my past paintings in there, one being a self portrait, and a fractal interwoven to boot.  All things were cast into Blue hue (the occupational hazard of looking back)  And really the only light, is in the eye of the beholder who dares to look forward.
