Capt. Tiberius, Harlequin Boxer

- by Alma Lee

This week's theme: Vision

Vision can be conceptual within the mind or sensual via the eye. Both definitions are found in art when the vision of the artist is perceived by the vision of those that view it.

Art: Capt. Tiberius, Harlequin Boxer by Artist Alma Lee
We recently adopted a rescue dog from our vet office. He walked into the room with a sweet, determined confidence that said "hey your gonna love me!" Let me tell you he meant it. Prior to this time we had rescued, several dogs, or maybe they rescued us, but they were all German Shepards. So this was quite a change in breed for all of us. I was struck by the comments people made about our new baby. Some went so far as to say he was ugly! I thought about this and was determined that there is no such thing as ugly in the dog world, but I know a few people that "go that way" I was took on the same spirit of determination I had seen in my new baby and decided to show other just what I saw. Beauty, dignity, loyalty and a regal presence worthy of respect. This is Captain Tiberius, in all his splendor. He has found a place in our home as well as our hearts! About this Painting: Size: 9.5x9.5 Media: Color Pencil and Marker Material: 1/2" MDF Panel Style: Harlequin pattern, retro modern Original Status: Available Prints Available from Artist
