The first in a series of hand-spun (drop-spindle) yarns that were carded together from rovings both pre-dyed and hand-dyed. It's a single-ply, with variances in width here and there, which adds to the hand-hewn look of it all.
There's enough in these two skeins to make a nice scarf, or possibly to be a second accent color in just the right sweater pattern. I don't believe it will felt, however, so stay away from that with this yarn.
It's named after the colors of the Seattle downtown skyline at dusk -- all the deep purples and blacks, cobalt blues and little touches of bright sunlight reflecting back off the mirrored facades.
It'd be a great yarn for a displaced Seattle-ite, since most of the fibers are actually from that area, as well.
