A still life is art depicting a collection of objects. Sounds so straight forward, doesn't it. It isn't. The variety of items that can be found in a still life, the myriad of styles and media used to depicted a still life make for a theme that simply can not be adequately represented in seven works of art. Art: Aqua Plate Still Life by Artist Case Reifschneider

I feel very strongly about this piece. It was the first oil painting I created and took my much longer than the previous paintings I had created. I chose little items that I loved and arranged them, painting my perspective as I was looking down on them. Now, this piece resides with a family member, as it became a gift.
