Blues Brothers at the Beach

- by Rita C. Ford

This week's theme: Siblings

Brothers and sisters. Many people have one or more of them. Sometimes they are the best thing that ever happened to you and other times, not so much. When growing up they share your secrets, rat you out, brake your stuff and stand by you when the chips are down. All of these experiences - the ups and downs of going from little people to big people with someone, form a unique bond. Quite often it's a bond that's resilient, rewarding and bullet proof.

Nothing brings out the mischievous side of children more than the idea of getting their photo taken, and these two characters are no exception. Being best friends they tend to dress alike and made their way to the beach in the most unlikely attire of black shirts and shoes with socks. Imitating their favorite comedians, they posed for a vacation snapshot on a sand dune overlooking the beach. I love children’s zest for life and enjoy painting them whenever possible.
