Queen of Something or Other Tiara

- by Dianne McGhee

This week's theme: Royal Hats

Crowns. They've been worn in some form for so long that they deliver serious symbolic and cultural impact. This week, EBSQ's Art of the Day presents seven different depictions of this headdress of royalty.

Art: Queen of Something or Other Tiara by Artist Dianne McGhee
Well, if you have just been crowned a queen, then I've got a gorgeous tiara for you. And even if nobody granted you the honors, then you can take them yourself by wearing this wonderful piece of art. After all, I think we're all the queen of something or other. Here is a gorgous artfully adorned tiara. It has been created especially with you in mind. I used jewel toned colors of stained glass in amber, emerald green and amethyst. I've blended in brass charms as well and intertwined copper wired swirls. The whole thing is decorated with dots of copper colored trim. Copper wire wraps the whole band with delicate glass beads giving it a very femine touch. It measures 3.25 inches tall in front and is 5.25 inches across. It has been polished and preserved for long life and comes artist signed and dated.
