Liberty

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

A grand experiment that is still working 228 years later. Happy Fourth of July!

In June of 2001 I had the good fortune to see and photograph the statue of Liberty. This piece was my 4th of July painting. The stars represent fireworks flying into the night sky. I guess I've always been patriotic, even before it was popular to be so. This painting is not for sale. Prints available at: $18 for an 11x14 with an 8x10 image $12 for an 8x10 with a 5x7 image
