Bosc, Anjou, Bartlett, Comice and Asian are just a few of the more popular types of this favored fruit. Whether you prefer your pears brandied, poached, sliced with cheese or on their own, they always please. As a salute to this flavorful and versatile fruit, EBSQ takes this week to present you with some of the freshest pears in our galleries.

Art: Sunday Pears by Artist Torrie Smiley

There are times when you go into the studio to paint without a clear idea of what you want to do....then you get lucky and things just come together. This is Sunday Pears, yellow pears with a splash of red.

Sunday Pears was painted using professional artist grade oil paint on a small canvas panel. Painting can be framed or placed on a small display easel. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish.
