This painting "Isaac's Bucket" is a commissioned work and is part of the "Children At Play" Series. I love to take photographs of children in action settings and use them as references for children's portraits. The settings are not formal which let's you observe the child in his natural state, action.

In developing this portrait, I removed all the background clutter and gave him a beautiful blue sky to bring the child's image forward and give him a feeling of movement.
