Art of the Day: Tuesday August 05, 2008

SOLD - There was a pink pig, who was learning to squeal

- by Miriam Schulman

This week's theme: Old MacDonald

Melissa's taking a break this week, and I decided to take a little inspiration from one of my childrens' favourite songs: Old MacDonald had a Farm. Feel free to sing along!

Art: SOLD - There was a pink pig, who was learning to squeal by Artist Miriam Schulman
The summer project is to take a different line from Margaret Wise Brown's
    Big Red Barn
and create a painting that does not necessarily illustrate the story but interprets the words of the prose. This is a hand painted original watercolor. There are gorgeous abstract drips and puddles. You will notice something different everytime you look at this artwork. The art is signed in black ink and the edges of the paper have been taped before painting to leave a white border.
