Mandala - Creation

- by Kathleen Ralph

This week's theme: Mandalas

A mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल, lit, circle) is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Indian religions, representing the universe. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe. - Wikipedia

Art: Mandala - Creation by Artist Kathleen Ralph
This is another in my ongoing Mandala Series. This on is created in watercolor and acrylic with a metallic shine to the circle of "Creation"

I meditate on a thought and then as I am making the Mandala the thought stays with me until it is completed. This one I worked on every day for a week, each time thinking about how I am creating a new phase of my life, as a parent, as an artist and as a woman.

The painting is 12x16 inches on 300lb watercolor paper.

If you purchase this piece it will be shipped via Canada post (unless you request a different shipping method) with a certificate of authenticity.
