wing back chair

This week's theme: It Takes All Types

Art is not easily defined. Artistic expression can emerge in such a variety of ways that there is not just one or two types of art, but many. This week EBSQ's Art of the Day brings you art that encompasses Floral to Art Brut, Mixed Media to Photography, and a few things in between.

Art: wing back chair by Artist Sara Field
A collaboration piece between my great aunt Nora and myself consisting of:

one reclaimed frame from early 60's left in its original unrestored state and lovely shade of deep orange/red

a tootsie toy metal chair, chipped paint and bent leg, 50's to early 60's

two bottlecaps, one coke and one pepsi, 60's to early 70's

one page of 7th & 8th grade spelling words from Miss Nora's composition book, 1910

the cover of her book as backing for the piece

may still be available in my etsy shop: saraphina
