If you live in the northern hemisphere, no doubt you or someone you know has started planning their garden. Thoughts of flower pots and flower beds, vegetable gardens and borders – all to be planted cleaned up and added to are occupying many a mind. While spring may not be here yet, it soon will be and it’s not too early to start planning the celebration.
The weather at the beginning of May had been glorious, so I decided to go out and paint the marsh marigolds that cover the small pond at the bottom of the garden. There seem to be more and more of them each year.
This was painted in acrylics on stretched canvas.
It is unframed.
The sides of the canvas have been painted, so it does not necessarily need framing.
Please note: Depending on the setting of your monitor, the colours may appear slightly different from those of the original painting.
Also you must appreciate that it is impossible to convey all the subtleties of texture, tone and hue of the original work in a digital photograph.
