Crow in the Graveyard Original Large Halloween Ornament

This week's theme: Halloween!

Halloween is almost here. As holiday's go, it's pretty awesome. It's for having fun and that's it. It can be as creepy and scary or as fun and whimsical as you want it to be. For this week before Halloween, Art of the Day is bringing the creep factor and the whimsy.

The crow stands ready to carry lost souls through the veil. Click the images to enlarge.

This acrylic painting is on a wood Victorian style turned ornament that measures about 6" in length not including the black satin ribbon hanger. It's quite large and suitable for a Halloween tree or swag. The dominant colors are an eerie lime green with contrasting black. The painting continues all around with three barren trees and numerous tombstones. The finial on the very bottom is painted to look like a crow's head.
