This week's theme: Halloween

Americans will spend about 8 billion dollars on Halloween. That's not as much as Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day or Father's Day, but it's the only holiday on that list that doesn't involve the gift giving. That means money spent at Halloween isn't spent on tradition, to show how much you care about someone or - if you're a cynic, guilt. That means that almost 8 billion dollars will be spent on simply having fun. Money well spent, I think. Happy Halloween and have a good time!
