Dead End

- by Emily J White

This week's theme: Halloween

Americans will spend about 8 billion dollars on Halloween. That's not as much as Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day or Father's Day, but it's the only holiday on that list that doesn't involve the gift giving. That means money spent at Halloween isn't spent on tradition, to show how much you care about someone or - if you're a cynic, guilt. That means that almost 8 billion dollars will be spent on simply having fun. Money well spent, I think. Happy Halloween and have a good time!

Art: Dead End by Artist Emily J White
Trapped with no way out, and the last thing you see is both beautiful and ominous- the brilliant westerly sun. Perhaps you are the type to take solace in the glory of nature, or maybe you are far to concerned with the hungry mob in front of you, lumbering ever closer... Original acrylic painting on 16" x 20" x 1" gallery wrapped canvas (sides are painted black). Initialled on the front; full signature, title, and date on the back. Prints are available in my etsy shop: Dead End limited edition prints or here on deviantart!
