The Fast Kind

- by Emily J White

This week's theme: Halloween

Halloween is rapidly approaching. In the United States it's big - very big. The money spent on decorations is second only to Christmas. When it comes to parties it's up there with New Year's Eve and Superbowl Sunday. And we aren't talking just parties for kids. Adults make up a massive and growing chunk of the people who celebrate Halloween. So if you love Halloween, too, this week's Art of the Day is for you. As most of the artists have these and other pieces available for purchase, if you see something you like don't hesitate to contact the artist and let them know. They'll be glad to hear from you. If you want more Halloween art, the EBSQ Halloween Gallery has plenty to offer and is growing every day.

Art: The Fast Kind by Artist Emily J White
Of all the things that scare me about zombies (which is why I love them so), I think the fast zombies are the most frightening. Whenever I dream about zombies, it is always the kind that can somehow run faster in death than they ever could in life... much faster than a rotting corpse should ever move, on it's own or otherwise! But, I guess if you are hungry and your food runs away from you, you would chase after it... I can't really blame them, and even feel I should commend them for their efforts...just NOT with my brains! "The Fast Kind" depicts a lone girl (with a ponytail!) running from a seemingly small group of fast zombies...Though there are only three here, I am SURE there are more just out of sight! This is an original acrylic painting, measuring 10" x 8" on a canvas sheet. It is initialed on the front, full signature, title, and date appear on the back. Watermark is for posting purposes only, and does not appear on the original art.
