Sunflower Ladybug Vignette

- by Pamela K Wilhelm

This week's theme: Helianthus

They are named for the sun. Their symmetry is based on Fibonacci numbers. They are native to the Americas, but have traveled widely and have captured the eyes and imagination of people all over the world.

Festive and fun, this primitive crow head, or raven if you prefer, will be a fun addition to your Halloween decor!

She's one of a kind, made of my own non-commercial pattern from the highest quality quilting fabrics and stuffed with premium poly-fill.

Her head is hand painted with a bit of needle stitching at the mouth and sealed with a spritz of UV resistant varnish for years of protection.

Her hat is handmade of fabric, stiffened with buckram, and embellished with fun, vintage trim and a black rose surrounded by bright violet satin.

It's secured to her head by a glittered orange star hatpin.

The black and orange hang cord is sewn to her head and funneled through a hole in the top of the hat for easy display.

I made her collar of coordinating fabrics and accented it with a matching violet satin ribbon and a large prim rusty bell for fun.

This ornament is both machine stitched and hand stitched and is signed and dated on back.

The Crow Witch is a large size - about 7" from the tip of her hat to her bell - but is also very lightweight so you can hang her just about anywhere.

Fairly unbreakable too unless your dog or toddler gets hold of her.

Please keep indoors as she isn't weather resistant and away from small children and pets due to her bell and hatpin which could be dangerous.

This item is heirloom quality and will last for decades of Halloweens to come!

Thanks for visiting and have a Blessed Halloween Season!
