Midnight in the Oubliette

- by Tiffany Toland-Scott

This week's theme: Gothic

In art, Gothic runs the gamut from romantic depictions of fantasy creatures - vampires, fairies, ghosts, etc., to the erotic. Like gothic literature, it can be dark and gloomy, but that isn't always the case. Often artists portray their subjects with vivd colours, humor and whimsy. This week, Art Of The Day offers a small sampling of what EBSQ artists have created in this genre.

Another angel trapped in an oubliette. This one is obviously much darker than the other, but I kind of like her P.O.'d expression.
