Three Figs

- by Torrie Smiley

This week's theme: Fruit

When doing a week of fruit for Art of the Day, it get's difficult. There are so many different kinds of fruit and fruit is a popular subject for artists that it sounds odd to say that it's a difficult theme to work with. The problem is that there are so many different kinds of fruit and fruit is a popular subject for artists, but there are only seven days in a week. We here at EBSQ did eventually manage to narrow it down and we hope you enjoy this week's selection of art.

Art: Three Figs by Artist Torrie Smiley
When time permits, I like to participate in the various challenge painting blogs hosted by several different artists and groups. I sometimes don't get finished before the submission time, but trying different compositions out of my "routine" is a wonderful learning experience. This composition is from www.paintanddrawtogether.blogspot.com/

I love the way this painting turned out.
